The offices opened to parents are Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and five other Committee members. Altogether, the Committee should be made up of 10 persons, the other two(2) being the Principal (or someone acting for him), and a teacher representative. If you choose not to be a Committee Member, your position would be just member of the PTC.
To be qualified for a position on the Committee, we have enclosed some of the requirements of each position. --------------------------------- Requirements of Committee Members:
Parent Teacher Council (PTC)
Chairperson/ President (1 position)
Responsible for chairing and overseeing all meetings
• Have good leadership skills
• Be fluent in both English and Thai
• Be able to attend all (or most) general meetings
• Have good communication skills
• Have the ability to remain impartial
Vice-Chairperson/ Vice-President (1 position)Responsible for working in close cooperation with the President, assist the President and assume the duties of the President if the office becomes unoccupied.
• Have good leadership skills
• Be fluent in both English and Thai
• Be able to attend all (or most) general meetings
• Have good communication skills
• Have the ability to remain impartialSecretary (1 position)Responsible for all note taking, minutes and agenda of meetings, and communication among members of PTC
• Be fluent in English and Thai
• Have good writing and translating skills
• Be a good note taker
• Be able to attend all (or most) general meetings
Treasurer (1 position)Responsible for all financial transactions of the PTC)
• Have experience in finances and accounting
• Be a good record keeper
• Be available to make bank transactions as necessary
• Be able to attend all (or most) general meetings
Committee Member (4 positions)(Five persons responsible for helping to lead all meetings)
• Have a good command of spoken English
• Be able to attend all (or most) general meetings
